What a typical heist looks like in practice
Most heists consist of four stages. Scouting (1-3 hours): casing the location, finding entry and escape routes, mapping camera coverage, studying guard patrols. Prep (1-2 hours): gathering gear, vehicles and hideouts, and arranging any inside-help RP. Execution (30-90 minutes): robbing the location and dealing with the inevitable police response. Getaway and laundering (30-60 minutes): getting away with the goods, splitting up the score and turning stolen assets into clean money.
Crew composition for a successful heist
Generally speaking, heists require a minimum of 4-6 crew members filling separate roles: a hacker to disable cameras and security systems, two breachers for entry, a driver for the getaway, a lookout on the police radio, and ideally someone else to handle the laundering phase.
